Where 905 Trades sends work

We list a town only when a partner actually drives there. Five towns today, from Hamilton to Oakville, each with its own page saying which trades cover it and which municipality issues the permit.

Which municipality issues your permit

The 905 is one area code and four building departments. Where you live decides who reviews the drawings, what the fee is, and which online system the application goes through. Every city page carries the details, cited to the municipality's own site.

Communities covered under Hamilton

Ancaster, Dundas, Waterdown, Binbrook, Flamborough and Glanbrook are part of the City of Hamilton. They share the same Building Division, the same permit list and the same fee schedule, so they do not get separate pages here; the Hamilton page is theirs. The same is true of Stoney Creek, which has its own page only because it is a distinct service area for our partners: it is the closest part of Hamilton to our Grimsby-based garage door partner and to the flooring partner's eastern end.

Why only five towns

A service-area page that no partner actually serves is a page that generates a request we cannot fill. The list grows when a partner's coverage does, or when a new partner joins whose base opens a new town. Milton, St. Catharines and the rest of Niagara are the obvious next additions and are not here yet for that reason.

Not sure which town you are in

Pick the closest one on the request form. Every request comes to us as well as to the partner, and if the town is a borderline case, such as the Grimsby and Beamsville line or the Burlington and Waterdown line, we sort out who goes before anyone calls you.

Request a contractor

905 Trades is paid a referral fee by the contractors it introduces. It does not change your price. You hire the contractor directly, on their quote and their contract.
