Request a vetted contractor
Tell us the job and the town. One contractor, picked by name and held to a published standard, calls you within a business day and quotes on their own paper. No fee to you, ever.
What to put in the details box
Whatever the contractor would ask on the first call. It saves you both a round trip.
- Flooring: which rooms, rough square footage, what is on the floor now, whether stairs are included, and whether you want them to supply the material or you already have it.
- Garage doors: single or double, what the door is doing (won't open, noisy, damaged panel, no opener), and whether the opening is standard or an older non-standard size.
- Carpet and upholstery cleaning: how many rooms or pieces, pets, and any stains you already know about.
- Renovations: the room, what you want to change (layout, plumbing, electrical, finishes), whether it is a finished or unfinished space, and your rough budget if you have one.
Not sure what it should cost?
Read the range first. Every service page carries the typical Hamilton range for that job with its source beside it, and Hamilton Home Costs has a calculator you can change to match your own square footage. A typical garage door replacement, for example, runs $1,450 to $3,200 Hamilton Home Costs, garage door replacement, verified 25 Jul 2026 in Hamilton, mid-range door, HST excluded. That is a published estimate, not a quote; the quote comes from the contractor.
