What to include in the request
For a heating concern, name the equipment type and whether the issue is no heat, an unusual sound, a visible error message or a recurring shutdown. Never open a burner compartment or attempt a gas adjustment to collect information. If an urgent safety concern exists, follow the utility or emergency authority instructions first; the referral form is for an introduction, not emergency response.
What to note before requesting an introduction
- Write down the equipment type and any model label visible without opening a panel.
- Note when the symptom began, how often it happens and whether it followed a power interruption or other event.
- Record a thermostat setting or display message only if it is already visible.
- Keep people away from equipment that appears damaged; do not remove covers or attempt a gas adjustment.
Safety comes before a routine request
If you smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide, leave the area and follow the utility or emergency authority instructions. The web form is for a routine introduction and does not alert an emergency service. See the Jackman Mechanical profile for service scope and coverage.
